It's on Dore Alley But Don't Call It Dore Alley

Folsom Street Events isn't doing the Up Your Alley/Dore Alley street fair this year as usual. However, there is something happening on Dore Alley on Sunday, July 25, and it's called Folsom Street Market. Retail vendors selling fetish wares are going to be set up along the alley as they usually would be, and the market is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The only real difference with the usual gayer-than-Folsom Up Your Alley shenanigans is that there won't be any beer booths selling alcohol — you'll have to get your drinks from the local bars, like Powerhouse at the end of the alley. They'll likely have an outdoor setup as well, though logistics aren't clear.

Over at the Lone Star, there's a weekend of parties coinciding with Folsom Street Market, starting with a party called Pig Boy on Friday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., followed by Underbear Party on Saturday, and Market Daze with DJ Paul Goodyear on Sunday from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. All those parties are $5 at the door.

They're doing a no-cover party called Dore'wood at Driftwood from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. with DJs Chuck Gunn and Since Forever.

And over at the Eagle, a tea dance called Xanadude kicks off on Sunday at 7 p.m. with DJs Paul Goodyear and Phil B, and that should be a blast as well.
